Before you borrow
- A short-term loan is for a short, temporary cash gap – not for regular monthly spending or for repaying another loan.
- Borrow only the amount you can repay from your next salary, after rent, EMIs and household costs.
- Avoid taking several loans at the same time. Many open loans and enquiries can lower your credit score.
Know the full cost
Check the Key Fact Statement before you accept: interest, processing fee, GST, APR, due date and the exact total to repay. Use the loan calculator to see an estimate first.
Repay on time
Repaying on the due date keeps your credit score healthy and avoids late charges. Late or missed payments are reported to credit bureaus by the lender and can make future loans harder to get.
If you can't repay
Contact the lender before the due date and explain the situation. Ask what options it offers. Do not take a new loan just to repay this one.
Recovery and your rights
Recovery is done by the lender or its agents and must follow RBI rules: no threats, abuse, harassment or calls at odd hours, and no contacting people in your phone book. If this happens, complain to the lender and to us at grievance@indifunds.com.
Our part
